who we are

no cookies
we don’t set any. not for analytics, not for advertising, not to remember you. the only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark mode choice, and only if you press the switch. it never leaves your device.
no analytics
no counters, pixels, heatmaps, fingerprinting or session recordings, and no third-party code. don’t take our word for it: see an independent privacy test.
what you send us
if you use the form or write to us, we receive your name, email address and your message, plus anything you choose to add, such as a company or a portfolio link. we use it only to reply and, if we work together, to run the project. it is never sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list.
legal bases
replying to a project enquiry: steps you ask for before a contract, gdpr article 6(1)(b). keeping you in the talent pool: your consent, article 6(1)(a), which you can withdraw at any time. keeping the website secure and working: our legitimate interest, article 6(1)(f).
who handles it
two providers process data for us, under data processing agreements. cloudflare, inc. hosts the website and, like any host, briefly processes technical connection data such as ip addresses to deliver the page and protect it. proton ag carries the form messages to our mailbox and stores our email. no one else receives your data.
outside the eu
cloudflare is based in the united states and is certified under the eu-u.s. data privacy framework. proton is based in switzerland, which the eu recognises as giving adequate protection.
how long we keep it
messages are kept as long as we need them to answer and follow up, and deleted at the latest 12 months after our last contact, unless we start working together. then project and invoice records are kept for as long as danish bookkeeping law requires (5 years). talent pool details stay until you ask us to remove them. we keep no website logs.
your rights
you can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable form, and you can withdraw consent at any time. write to privacy@absence12.com and we will answer within one month.
complaints
if you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first. you can also complain to the danish data protection agency, datatilsynet: datatilsynet.dk.
social links
the instagram and linkedin icons are plain links. nothing from meta or linkedin loads on this website. if you follow a link, their own privacy policies apply on their sites.
data protection officer
we are not required to appoint one. privacy@absence12.com reaches the people responsible.
